What makes a useful public comment?

You do not have to be an expert. A strong comment is specific, firsthand where possible, and connected to a decision the agency must make.

  • Describe how the proposal may affect your family, property, health, livelihood, or community.

  • Provide approximate dates, locations, and documents when they help.

  • Identify missing information and ask for a specific answer.

  • Explain local roads, geography, and existing plant conditions.

Share your experience with FHA

Live nearby, downwind, downstream, or elsewhere in the region? Share your experiences and concerns about power plants and their effects on air, water, health, noise, roads and daily life. Current and former residents are welcome, along with people concerned about future development. Read the survey’s consent information before responding; do not include medical records.
